| The Transrapid is now operating 14 hours a day on the line linking Pudong International Airport and Shanghai City. According to SMTDC, operator of the maglev line, the Transrapid is the world's first commercially operated maglev system to offer service at 15-minute intervals every day from 7 AM to 9 PM. Previously the line was in operation only 9 hours a day.
